The best rafting in Belek: how to judge it

Almost every rafting day sold on the Belek strip goes to the same river, Köprülü Canyon, so "best" is rarely about the water. It is about what is in the price, who is in your boat, and what happens if you change your mind. Six checks below, with our own answers next to them — €23 per adult, a professional guide in every raft, kit and lunch included, and no prepayment.

Six things worth checking, whoever you book with

  • Is a guide in every raft, or one guide for several boats? Ours is one per boat.
  • Is the equipment included, or hired at the base? Helmet, life jacket, paddle and wetsuit are in our price.
  • Is the hotel transfer both ways in the price, or one way, or extra? Ours is round-trip and included from the Belek strip.
  • Is lunch included, and is it a meal or a sandwich? Ours is an open buffet at a riverside restaurant.
  • Do you pay now or on the day? We take nothing at booking — you pay in euros on the tour day.
  • What happens if you cancel? Free up to 24 hours before, with nothing to refund because nothing was taken.

What "best" does not mean here

It does not mean a different river. The Köprü through Köprülü Canyon is where the rafting from this coast happens, and a page claiming a secret better stretch is selling you the same water with more adjectives.

It does not mean a star rating either. We do not publish one, because nobody has left us a review on this site yet and borrowing a number from somewhere else is how those pages usually get their stars.

Where we are not the best choice

If you want a half day, we are wrong — the drive is part of the arithmetic and this is a full day out.

If somebody in your party should not be in cold moving water, a boat trip is the better booking and our sister site runs those from the same strip.

And if the machine is what you want rather than the river, the quad and buggy days at belekquadsafari.com are the honest answer instead of a combo you half wanted.

What we would ask if we were you

Ask for the total per person including transfer, kit and lunch, rather than the headline number. That is the comparison that survives contact with the base.

And ask who is in the boat. It is the one difference on this river that you feel from the first rapid.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which is the best rafting tour from Belek?
They mostly run the same river, so compare what is in the price instead: a guide in every raft, equipment, round-trip transfer, lunch, and whether you pay now or on the day.
Is a more expensive rafting tour better?
Not automatically. A higher price can mean a combo with a quad or a zipline attached rather than a better river day — check what the extra buys.
Do you have reviews or a rating?
Not yet on this site, and we would rather say so than show a number we borrowed. If you have rafted with us, yours would be the first.
What does yours cost?
€23 per adult and €15 per child aged 7 to 11 for the rafting day, including the transfer from the Belek strip, all equipment, a guide in your raft, insurance and lunch.
